I once knew a cat
who went wherever he pleased.
He just needed to think
of places to see.
With a clap
and a snap,
he’d zip round the globe,
up steep mountains and down snowy slopes.
He’d fly high as the stars
and dip low to the sea.
He could travel as far
as he wanted to be.
He dug in the sand
making castles so grand,
and visited kitties
in all the big cities.
But one day he yawned,
long, slow, and deep.
Clearly, this cat
needed his sleep!
So, he clapped
and he snapped
himself to the shore,
where even the ocean didn’t rival his snore.
I guess in the end,
this cat chose to be
a cat who could nap
anywhere that he pleased.
