She wanted to fly with the butterflies that day, to flutter and flit and feel the sun on her wings. So, she put on her best cloak and headed out to the garden.
She wrapped her cloak tight like a cocoon, and she waited.
She waited, feeling happy and warm.
And waited, feeling excited for more.
She knew it was time when her arms could barely hold still and her feet danced a little dance.
In a flash of light, she spread her arms out wide, wide, wide. Her cloak now matched the monarch’s wings in an orange and black more beautiful than even a tiger’s stripes.
She ran and leaped into the air, lifting up into the sky.
